A set of underground caves in the Mani where visitors glide by boat between stalactites and still water. Take a jacket, as it is cool inside, and visit early in the day in high season to shorten the queue.

The Glyfada Cave near Pyrgos Dirou in the Mani is about 3.1 km long according to the regional tourism portal, with only around 300 m of it dry. The visit is by boat along the underground river. The air temperature stays constant at about 18 °C and the water at about 12 °C. Exploration began in 1949 with Ioannis and Anna Petrocheilou.

The round trip takes roughly 30 to 45 minutes, depending on the source, and passes columns of grey and white stalactites and stalagmites. Prehistoric animal remains and pottery have also been found in the cave. Bring a jacket, as it is cool and damp. Queues build up in high season, so arrive early in the day. With travel and waiting time, allow a good two hours in total.
