Bonanzaville in West Fargo is the open-air history museum of the Cass County Historical Society. About 40 buildings stand on roughly 5 ha (12 acres), including a prairie church, a general store, a drugstore, a fire station, a schoolhouse and Fargo's first house. There are also museums devoted to aircraft, automobiles, law enforcement and telephones, among other collections. Together the collections hold several hundred thousand artifacts.
The complex is open from May through September, while the event venues are open year-round. Visit in the summer season, when the buildings are accessible. Allow at least two to three hours for the grounds. The museum is in West Fargo and makes a convenient stop along Interstate 94.
