An old tuna-fishing station on a small cove, with pale cliffs and two sea stacks rising from clear water just offshore. Park in the village and walk down, and bring water shoes if you plan to swim from the rocks.

The Tonnara di Scopello, a former tuna-fishing station, stands near Scopello in the municipality of Castellammare del Golfo, about 40 km from Trapani. The first buildings date back to the 13th century and the present complex to around the 15th; later the Sanclemente family, the Jesuits and the Florio family extended it. Directly in front of it, the Faraglioni rise out of the water, with Mediterranean vegetation on top.

You can only reach the beach by going through the Tonnara; entry is charged, and the number of visitors per day is limited. Check the current rules in advance. The beach is a rocky platform, and the seabed is rocky and good for snorkelling. Nearby are the Zingaro nature reserve, Castellammare del Golfo and the ancient site of Segesta.
