A lake-and-forest park with steep rock walls, clear water and a suspension bridge at Lapinsalmi. Day trails start from the car parks, and the lakes suit a canoe trip in summer; bring warm clothes on the cliff viewpoints.

Repovesi National Park near Kouvola was established in 2003 and covers about 15 km². Pine and birch trees shape a landscape of hills, streams and lakes, along with restored timber-floating channels at Kuutinlahti bay. In 2024 the park recorded around 100,900 visits. Popular destinations include Olhavanvuori hill, lookout towers and hiking trails, as well as the Kultareitti water-taxi route.

Important for planning: according to the park authority, the Lapinsalmi suspension bridge is closed for safety and repair work (as of June 2025). In summer, the hand-operated ferry at Ketunlossi (eight people) offers an alternative. Check the current situation before you travel. Allow half a day to a full day for a day hike, and bring warm clothing, especially for the rocky viewpoints.
