A series of travertine pools and cascades in a green gorge near Letnitsa, reached by a short walk on wooden walkways. Visit in spring or after rain, and keep to the paths on the slippery stone.

The Krushuna Waterfalls lie in the Balkan Mountains near the village of Krushuna in Letnitsa municipality, about 34 km from Lovech. They are travertine falls: the water flows over travertine, a soft limestone, forming steps and pools. In the 2000s a visitor path was built that leads to the Maarata cave, from which the river emerges.

The area also contains the remains of the Hesychast Krushuna Monastery from the time of the Second Bulgarian Empire (13th and 14th centuries). Allow about one to two hours for the falls and the path. They are usually most impressive in spring or after rain, when plenty of water is flowing. Wet travertine is slippery, so stay on the laid-out paths and wear shoes with good tread. It is busier on summer weekends and quieter on weekdays.
