An open-air museum village of relocated pioneer buildings, from a church and school to farm machinery halls, gathered on the edge of Fargo. Families enjoy wandering the streets; most buildings are open only in the warm season.

Bonanzaville in West Fargo is the open-air history museum of the Cass County Historical Society. About 40 buildings stand on roughly 5 ha (12 acres), including a prairie church, a general store, a drugstore, a fire station, a schoolhouse and Fargo's first house. There are also museums devoted to aircraft, automobiles, law enforcement and telephones, among other collections. Together the collections hold several hundred thousand artifacts.
