# Community rules

Template — please complete and have it reviewed by a lawyer.

## Why these rules

Reports, reviews, photos and forum posts make CampingSpirit valuable for everyone. These guidelines apply to all content you publish and supplement our terms of use.

## First-hand and honest

Only write about places, routes and experiences you have experienced yourself. Describe what you found fairly and factually, including the downsides. No reviews of your own business or of competitors, no paid or incentivised reviews, and no reviews on behalf of others.

## Date and accuracy

State the date of your visit (at least month and year). Conditions change: mention the season, weather and road conditions where relevant, and flag anything you are unsure about. Update or delete your report if it is no longer correct.

## Respectful tone

Be friendly and constructive. No insults, threats, harassment, hate speech, discrimination or sexual content. Criticise businesses factually — untrue statements of fact can be unlawful.

## Privacy of others

Do not publish personal data of other people — such as names, phone numbers, addresses, vehicle registration numbers or details about staff or other campers — unless it is already public and relevant (e.g. the name of a campsite).

## Photos

Only upload photos you took yourself or for which you hold the rights. Recognisable people may only be shown with their consent; otherwise please blur faces and number plates. No photos of other people's children without their parents' consent. Check your photos for location data you do not want to share.

## No advertising

No advertising, spam, affiliate links or promotion of your own products or services. Businesses may reply to reviews in their own name, factually and without advertising.

## Safety and the law

Do not post content that encourages illegal or dangerous behaviour, such as camping where it is prohibited, damaging nature, driving on closed roads or ignoring vehicle restrictions. Respect local rules and private property.

## Moderation

We may review content before or after publication, hide or remove content that breaches these guidelines, our terms or the law, and exclude users temporarily or permanently in case of violations. We are not obliged to check all content in advance. Where appropriate, we will tell you why content was removed, and you may ask us to reconsider.

## Reporting content

If you notice content that breaches these guidelines or your rights, use the "Report" function on the content concerned or write to campingspiritcom@gmail.com with a link and a short explanation. We review reports promptly and impartially.
